Southport is located on the coast of Southeastern North Carolina, where the Cape Fear River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It is known for its stunning scenery, history, maritime heritage, and breezes that cast a calm and welcoming ambience.

Overlooking the beautiful Cape Fear River, this charming old southern village offers up plenty of mystery and history! Many movies have been filmed here like Nicholas Sparks “Safe Haven”, “Matlock” and “Crimes of the Heart”, which you will learn about when we arrive at the Southport Visitors Center. From there we will visit the beautiful Trinity United Methodist Church, which was built by a young ship builder in the late 1800's. The church building is called an upside-down ship.

After lunch we will go for a wine tasting at Silver Coast Winery’s Downtown Southport location. Afterward, there will be some time for shopping in Downtown Southport where you may want to visit the Christmas House, an antique shop or one of the many fine art galleries!
