Later we will head over to Hampton Plantation on the edge of the Francis Marion National Forest. Hampton was established in 1735. Daniel Horry purchased the 600-acre property in 1735 and built the house in 1760. Two very famous people lived at Hampton, Eliza Lucas Pickney and Archibald Rutledge. The house is not furnished but you will see examples of Colonial Construction and hear stories of the people who lived there.
