Come with us as we experience the mystery of Savannah Ga. You will see many historic squares with stately sculptures. 270 years ago Savannah was founded by James Oglethorpe famous today you might remember “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” Also the great movie “Forrest Gump”

Day 1 May 10 After departing from Surfside Presbyterian church at 8:00 am, we head south stopping for lunch at the Crackle Barrel (not included) We will arrive in Savannah at 2:30 for our Historical Trolley Tour. For one and half hours you’ll learn about the history of this magical place and hear stories of characters you just want believe!

savannah fountainAt 4:00 we check into our hotel, The Planters Inn. Built in 1912 this historic Inn retains the elegance and charm of the Old South! This will be a very special treat for you! This hotel’s high ceilings, four-poster beds, lavish draperies, and antique furniture will give you the feeling that you’ve stepped back in time.

Complimentary afternoon wine is provided in the lobby from 5:30 to 7:30. The location is perfect for shopping in the Historic district or walking around Reynolds Square. The centerpiece of the square is a statue of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. You have free time now to enjoy this great place .Tonight you will have dinner on your own.

Day 2 After breakfast we will board our trolley and you will be able to hop on and hop off all day at whatever spot you like. At 4:00 the trolley will drop you off at the hotel so you can freshen up for our Riverboat Dinner Cruise. We should return to hotel by 9:00 pm.

8airforceDay 3 After an 8:00 am breakfast we check out of the hotel and head over to Pooler Ga. To the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. Here we will learn about the men and women serving in the Eighth Air Force from World War II to present day through a variety of exhibits and tours. We will have a very nice lunch there (included) After lunch we head home, arriving around 6:00pm.
