Meet your coach and tour escort as we journey to Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana, south of Cincinnati, Ohio. We’ll stop to rest and for lunch (on your own). Belterra is a classic casino resort on the scenic Ohio River near the Markland Dam offering non- stop gambling action, entertainment, dining, shopping, an indulgent spa, and world-class golf.

After an included breakfast, we depart for Frankenmuth, MI, known for its Bavarian hospitality regardless of the season! During travel, we will take rest stops and a lunch break on your own. Upon arrival we check into the Bavarian Inn famous for their chicken dinner along with a performance of the German anthem, “Schnitzelbank Song.” Spend free time tonight exploring! B D

After a breakfast buffet, we check out and meet our local guide for a tour of Frankenmuth. Next browse the magical Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland before we travel to Mackinaw City, break for lunch on our own, and catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. Upon arrival at the dock, horse-drawn taxis take us to the Grand Hotel, which has beckoned guests to a bygone era of hospitality and charm since 1887. This evening meet in the Main Dining Room for a spectacular dinner including an appetizer, soup, salad, entrée and dessert. Afyer dinner, venture to the Terrace Room for dancing and live music from the Grand Hotel Orchestra or grab a nightcap at the Cupola Bar. The view of the Mackinac Bridge at night is spectacular. B D

Begin your day with a full breakfast in the Grand Hotel’s Main Dining Room. After a horse-drawn carriage tour of the island, spend the rest of the day exploring! Make sure you are back in Yme to dress for dinner this evening. B D

shipwreckThursday Oct 14
Enjoy breakfast this morning before catching the ferry back to the mainland. Our motorcoach and driver will meet us in Mackinaw City, and we’ll depart for Alpena, MI via Heritage Route 23 – known as the Pathway to the Sunrise Coast featuring scenic shorelines and majestic lighthouses. Upon arrival enjoy free time for shopping, sightseeing, and lunch, then explore the shipwrecks of the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center. We then depart for the Thunder Bay Resort and Elk Preserve. After checking in, we take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage through the resort and across Thunder Bay River to see the majestic elk! At Elk Antler Log Cabin dine on a gourmet meal prepared on antique wood cook stoves and a wine tasting highlighting local vineyards. B D

Friday Oct 15
After breakfast in the Clubhouse Grill, we board our coach and depart for Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. We’ll break for rest stops and lunch on your own. Upon arrival, check into our downtown hotel for a two-night stay. Free evening tonight. B

Following breakfast, join the ferry for a trip right up to the foot of the Falls themselves, rain gear provided as you will get wet! Rest of the day is free; remember you can admire the Falls illuminated during the evening. B

Sunday Oct 17
Enjoy an included breakfast and begin our drive towards home. Today’s drive winds through beautiful Pennsylvania into the Mountaineer State of West Virginia and includes rest stops and lunch on your own. Before we check into our hotel for the evening, we will gather for an included dinner at Tamarack Artisan Center and Restaurant. Tamarack’s striking peaked red roof and lovely landscaped grounds draw half a million visitors per year, as well as the unique Appalachian artisan products and extraordinary food. We spend the night in Beckley. B D

Monday Oct 18
Fill up on breakfast before we hit the road! Today we’ll take a splendid drive through the mountains of Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia before arriving home in the evening. B

CANCELATION
On multi day ground trips:
No cancelation penalty if a trip is cancelled before the final payment due date. 50% cancelation penalty if a trip is cancelled 44–30 days prior to trip departure. 100% cancelation penalty if trip is canceled within 30 days of trip departure.

FINAL LETTER
A final trip letter will be provided three weeks prior to the trip departure date highlighting hotel phone numbers, departure and return times, a list of what to bring and a current itinerary.
